Introducing our friendly, supportive, close-knit team at Benchmark Financial Services.

Name: David Silver
Role: Financial Adviser/Director
B.Bus (Financial Planning)
Experience: David has worked in the financial advice industry since 2001 after completing a Degree at RMIT in Business, majoring in Financial Planning. David focuses on holistic financial advice, which includes wealth accumulation, retirement income streams and wealth protection strategies. These strategies include advice relating to superannuation, life insurances, investments (including shares) and estate planning.

David believes in long term, professional relationships with his clients based on trust and a valued wealth planning service. He tailors client strategies to their individual circumstances. He founded Benchmark Financial Services in 2007 with his business partner, Rosanne Joyce, and has seen Benchmark grow through client referrals and a network of related financial professionals.

David has access to a range of complimentary advice services through the support of Benchmark’s professional referral network including solicitors, accountants and mortgage brokers. As a Corporate Authorised Representative of Financial Services Partners, David has access to high quality financial products, extensive market research and business development tools, and training that helps deliver quality services to clients. David’s broad knowledge of the needs of medical professionals has also led to a growing client base in this field, as he can cater specific solutions to the financial needs of such professionals.

When David is not at the office or meeting with clients, he can often be found at the MCG supporting the mighty Collingwood Magpies. At the moment his ‘child’ comes in the form of a brindle Staffie pup (Ollie). David also enjoys a game of golf and is happy to organise an ‘on course meeting’ for any clients who are interested!

Name: Rosanne L. Joyce
Role: Financial Adviser/Director
Experience: Rosanne began working in the Financial Planning industry in 1993. Since that time, she has helped many clients work towards realising their financial goals. Rosanne has completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and has equity in the business. Prior to working in the financial planning industry, Rosanne was a teacher, Financial Planning can be complex but Rosanne is ideally placed to educate her clients on their options and work with them to select the right advice strategies.

Rosanne began working in the Financial Planning industry in 1993. Since that time, she has helped many clients work towards realising their financial goals. Rosanne has completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and has equity in the business. Prior to working in the financial planning industry, Rosanne was a teacher.

Financial Planning can be complex but Rosanne is ideally placed to educate her clients on their options and work with them to select the right advice strategies. Rosanne spent many years preparing financial plans as a paraplanner, before becoming an adviser. During that time she built her knowledge around the technical issues relating to superannuation, wealth accumulation, Centrelink, retirement planning strategies, and self managed superannuation funds.

“I became an adviser because I felt I could offer clients a personalised, simple, easy to understand approach to their financial planning needs. I found helping people achieve their goals rewarding” says Rosanne. “I believe in creating a trusting association and mutually honest communication which is vital in maintaining strong relationships with clients.”

Rosanne is a member of the SMSF Professional’s Association of Australia (SPAA).
When Rosanne is not assisting her clients, you may find her gardening, reading or spending time with family.

Name: Michelle Harrison
Role: Adviser Support/ Office Manager
Experience: Michelle has long term experience in the industry and joined Benchmark in 2014. Michelle previously worked as a Financial Adviser and as such has become a very valuable part of the team working in support of David and Rosanne.

Michelle can be of assistance for any insurance and portfolio valuation queries.

Name: Rodolfo Caolboy
Role: Adviser Support/ Advice Implementation
Experience: Rodolfo has worked in the financial services industry since 2002 in a variety of roles including as a Financial Adviser.  He joined Benchmark in August 2015 as a Customer Service Officer, providing administrative work such as portfolio reviews, implementation and financial modelling.

Rodolfo has completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree through Deakin University majoring in Economics, Financial Planning and eCommerce Management.

Name: Nikki Cypriotis
Role: Client Services Officer
Experience: Nikki joined the Benchmark team in 2019 as a Client Services Officer. Nikki gained extensive experience in improving client services, administration functions and systems as Client Services Manager for a boutique financial planning firm, prior to joining Benchmark. Nikki is a loyal Richmond supporter and horror movie enthusiast. She has two children and is hoping her son might one day play for the Tiges! You will hear from Nikki when it’s time for your Review meeting, and you can feel free to contact her if you have any administrative queries relating to a Self Managed Super Fund or general investment related paper work.

Name: Angelique Domingo
Role: Compliance & Office Manager
Experience: Angelique has worked in the financial services sector since 2013 and joined the Benchmark team at the beginning of 2017 as a Client Services Officer. Angelique’s knowledge of XPLAN (our specialist financial planning software system) is resulting in better service outcomes for our valued clients. She is also with us to assist with the implementing new business for Benchmark clients and providing general support to David and Rosanne.

Angelique is currently studying a Diploma of Financial Planning and is continuously improving her knowledge of financial planning strategies. She is committed to providing a high level of service to our clients.

Name: Simone Pettinella
Role: Administrative Assistant
Experience: Simone joined the Benchmark team in January 2019 as an Administration Assistant. Simone completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree through Deakin University majoring in Economics and Accounting. She has quickly become an integral part of the team with a willingness to learn and a broad knowledge of our clients’ administrative requirements. Simone also assists the accountants of our valued clients with collating tax paper work for annual tax returns/reporting. Simone is a loyal Essendon supporter and she has done Calisthenics for 17 years.
